We're all thumbs
The fact that texting is replacing talking among our youth has not gone unnoticed at the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC envisions a 911 emergency response system that will also accept text messages.
This marks a big step in evolution. The opposable thumb, which gave us primacy among primates and helped us spread all over the world (by flagging down free rides), will now enable us to summon police, fire squads and other first responders. OMG! Can't you just see it?
