'Wanna come play in my dad's tower?'

FAA management has suspended an air traffic controller at New York's Kennedy Airport for allowing his young son to radio instructions to several pilots.

His colleagues probably weren't too happy, either.

"You idiot. If they get the idea a kid can do this job, where's our bargaining power?"

That was one truly odd story. What in hell was that guy thinking? Quite a bookend with those two airline pilots who decided to tune out the rest of the world while in flight, to talk about their scheduling conflicts. All of it really makes you feel safe flying, doesn't it?

Well, I think the planes were on the ground, but still ....
